Most spiders have a variation of the XO process in which males have two distinctive X chromosomes (X1X2O), whilst women have a pair of X1 chromosomes and a pair of X2 chromosomes (X1X1X2X2).
Some spiders have additional complicated devices involving as many as 13 various X chromosomes. Common mating or reproductively determined methods involve monogamy, polygyny, polyandry, polygamy and promiscuity. Other sexual conduct may perhaps be reproductively motivated (e.g.
sexual intercourse apparently because of to duress or coercion and situational sexual behaviour) or non-reproductively enthusiastic (e.g. homosexual sexual behaviour, bisexual sexual conduct, cross-species intercourse, sexual arousal from objects or areas, intercourse with useless animals, etc.).
In sociobiology and behavioural ecology, the phrase "mating method" is applied to explain the means in which animal societies are structured in relation to sexual conduct. These are believed to crop up by way of the loss of the Y chromosome. In this process, there is only just one intercourse chromosome, referred to as X.
